(ERNST HANFSTAENGEL) (1887 - 1975) 'Putzi' Harvard-educated German businessman who was an intimate of Adolf Hitler before falling out of favor and defecting. He later worked for Franklin D. Roosevelt. Original 6.5 x 8.5 in. 1933 International New Photos Inc. wire photo showing Hanfstaengel (who more resembles Lurch') half-length and in the caption pasted to the verso quotes him as saying Jews would continue to be ousted from Germany 'until the house is cleansed'. Very good.
