SS WEHRPASS ISSUED TO A FORMER R.A.D. LABORER
Wehrpass issued to one Rudolf Kutschinski, born Apr. 26, 1926, former RAD laborer turned SS-Panzer-Grenadier, including his identification portrait, his particulars, and his military and professional history. Kutschinshi was mustered into the RAD, number 2186, in Gusenberg, Germany, on Aug. 4, 1943, signed up as a volunteer for the Waffen-SS in Leipzig on Nov. 8, 1943, then mustered into various SS-Panzer-Grenadier units from Jan. 20 to Aug. 12, 1944. Clearly used, yet remains in very good condition. Within the Wehrpass is a photo postcard of an SS man, likely Kutschinski himself, wearing a cufftitle, Panzer Badge and Wound Badge. The lot also includes his typed evaluation from SS training school, 1p. 4to., Lauenburg, July 10, 1944, containing his particulars, character and fitness judgment, and finally recommending him for the rank of Unterfuhrer, signed at the bottom by two SS officials. Folds, else fine. Three pieces.
