QUESTIONNAIRE FOR AMERICAN CONSULS LEAVING GERMANY
Interesting printed questionnaire, 2pp. 4to., [American Embassy in London, ca. late 1939], sent by London Consul John G. Erhardt then serving under Ambassador Joseph Kennedy to Consuls leaving Germany. The document asks the consuls to submit reports on German morale, the effects of bomb damage, potential vital targets, efficacy of British propaganda, economic and industrial intelligence, vulnerabilities of leaders, population migration, identities of spies, etc. Unsigned. Very good.
