JULIUS LIPPERT
(1895 - 1956) NSDAP politician. He first participated in the assassination of Foreign Minister Walther Rathenau, later was appointed the Reichskommissar of Berlin. As such, he purged the capital's government of opposition, and was responsible for much of the early persecution of Jews in Berlin. T.L.S. on official letterhead, 1p. 4to., Berlin, July 10, 1940 to MARTIN BORMANN (1900-1945), warmly expressing his thanks for Bormann's birthday greetings. File holes and docketed, very good.
