The Chronicles of Rabbi Joseph ben Joshua ben Meir - London, 1835-1836
English translation of a history book on the kings of France and Ottoman Turkey, by Rabbi Joseph ben Joshua the Sephardi, by C.H.F. Bialloblotzky. London, 1835. Two volumes: XX, 440, 528 pp., 22 cm.
First edition in English with many Hebrew words appearing in the translation, particularly in the footnotes. The original Hebrew was first published in Sabionetta in 1554. With a copy of the title page of the Amsterdam edition printed in 1733, with an English translation on the facing page. A very rare book.
The two volumes are in good condition, in their original bindings.
