A Book for the Study of the Hebrew Alphabet, with Illustrations by Jacob Apter – "Omanut" Publishing – Frankfurt am Main, 1922
Aleph-Bet. Frankfurt am Main: "Omanut", 1922.
A book for the study of the Hebrew Alphabet. Each leaf features several Hebrew letters in decorated frames; a paper pocket containing paper squares with diacritics is mounted on the inside front board. Letter design: Jacob Apter.
Printed on the first page of the book are instructions for use: "This Alphabet is to be used while studying reading in kindergarten and school […] the teacher should cut out one letter and give it to the child. The child will cut out the same shape out of colorful paper, using this letter (or he can first copy it in pencil on transparent paper), and paste it on a board."
12 leaves, 16X16 cm. Good condition. Pen notations to one page. Scuffs and minor blemishes to binding and endpapers (affecting the decoration on the front board). The paper pocket is partly detached.
