D´INDY VINCENT: (1851-1931) French Composer. A good A.L.S., Vincent D´Indy, one page, 4to, Paris, 9th June 1905, in the ''Schola Cantorum, Ecole Superieure de Musique'' of Paris, to Mr. Bourgeois, in French. A lengthy and carefully written letter by d´Indy, stating in part `Because of your non-attendance.. obliged, I understand, but still non-attendance which I have to consider in the same way I do with any other (justice requested), and also because of your very deficient musical lecture (my God! Learn a bit more music theory!!), your exam final note do not reach the average requested to get the diploma, I tell you so honestly.´ D´Indy further refers to future, and regarding the Schola Cantorum states in part `..unfortunately, and I lament, is that the singer male nature decreases as much as proportionally the singer female nature increases!´ Accompanied by the original postmarked printed stationery envelope in D´Indy´s hand.
