Good content copy of a typed report addressed to Reichsfuhrer-SS HEINRICH HIMMLER, 2pp. 4to., Den Haag, July 7, 1942, from an unidentified SS-Gruppenfuhrer, regarding the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands and the leadership of ANTON MUSSERT (1894 �1946), one of the founders of the National Socialist Movement in the Netherlands who was able to keep this position throughout the war thanks to German support. In part: "...Rost van Tonningen told me...he met Mussert...Mussert told him, that a discussion with the Fuehrer was promised to him...he intends now to get the Dutch leadership under his command...he will try to convince the Fuehrer to bring this about...I report this, Reichsfuhrer, at once...I think it is impossible to transfer leadership into the hands of Mussert...the English intend to attack Holland in the near future, but not for another 6 weeks or so...I cannot imagine, Reichsfuhrer, that under circumstances like that one should allow Mussert to take over the Government..."
