HANS-JURGEN VON ARNIM
(1889 - 1962) German general who commanded several armies, replaced Rommel in North Africa and surrendered to the British forces on 12 May 1943. A recipient of the Knight's Cross. A.L.S. on the verso of a postcard, Wildungen, ca. 1956, advises that the address his correspondent seeks is available from "the Association of Former Members of the German Africa Corps". Signed a second time in the return address. Very good.
