HANS SPETH
(1897 - 1985) German general of artillery, Chief of Staff of the LIV. Army Corps and the 18th Army, later commanding the 28th Jager Division. A Knights Cross recipient. S.P., 4.25 x 6.25 in. b/w, a wardate press photograph showing a chest-up view of the general in uniform, prominently wearing his Knight's Cross. Speth signs once at the bottom white margin and signs again on the verso, adding rank and adds: "The war academy had been relocated from Berlin to Hirschberg in Silesia due to destruction by bombing!". Fine.
