ALBERT KESSELRING
(1885 - 1960) Field Marshal in the Luftwaffe and at Nuremberg was tried for war crimes. Death sentence commuted due to ill health. S.P., 8.25 x 10 in. glossy b/w, a U.S. Army photograph of Kesselring standing near a bookshelf. He signs once at bottom and signs once on the verso, adding rank and an untranslated inscription to the latter. Signature on obverse redone by Kesselring due to his initial use of a faulty pen, else very good. Sold with another U.S. Army photograph (unsigned), 10 x 8.25 in. b/w, showing Kesselring seated at a table while he was held as a witness in Nuremberg. Two pieces.
