JOHN WAYNE GACY

(1942 - 1994) Notorious mass murderer of over thirty young men whom he buried beneath his home, executed after many appeals and postponements. Fine content T.L.S. "John" on his prison letterhead with the legend "Execution... Revenge for a sick society!!!" at top, 1p. 4to., Menard, IL, Jan. 26, 1994, clearly writing to a child or teenager. In part: "...HI HO Joe...Thanks for your letter...Thank also your mom too as it was nice of her to take the time to write on the back. Hey its not only my rule, you have to remember this is a prison and I do conform to all their rules... regarding the books you mention I enclosed a flyer since they are running a special I guess. I have nothing to do with all the things out on me. Regarding my art I am no longer painting...I had been painting for about 12 years...it's become too much of a hassle so I just stopped...I enclosed my standard bio sheet for people who write me. Since this is more adult, maybe you won't be able to answer all the questions...What are you taking in school that is giving you problems?...I can recall I never liked math. But I got by with it..." Gacy signs at the conclusion, adhering a whimsical sticker beneath his signature. One hole at top left, else fine. Sold with transmittal envelope, bearing Jan. 27, 1994 cancel, as well as the bio sheet and flier referenced in the letter. Four pieces.
