ALAN SHEPARD
(1923 - 1998) American astronaut, a member of the Mercury team and the first American in space. First-edition copy of his signed book: "Moon Shot: The Inside Story of America's Race to the Moon" (Atlanta: Turner Publishing, Inc.), 1994, 8vo. 383pp. with pictorial dust jacket. Signed boldly in black ink on the title page beneath a dedication. Some ink bleed-through from the signature onto the publication page, else fine condition.
