ALAN BEAN SIGNED PHOTO BOOK: "PAINTING APOLLO"
(1932 - 2018) American astronaut who flew on Apollo 12 and in the Skylab mission. Signed first-edition copy of his beautiful photobook, "Painting Apollo: First Artist on Another World" (Washington D.C.; Smithsonian Books), 2009, oblong 4to. 224pp., with pictorial dust jacket. Published to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the First Lunar Landing, the book showcases many of Bean's striking paintings of space and the Moon. Bean signs boldly in gold ink on the half title page. Fine, and a very attractive piece!
