WROUGHT IRON SS WALL SIGN
Wrought iron sign bearing SS runes. The 15 in. tall and 12 in. wide sign is made have hand-wrought iron with three sections on either side curled inwards in a decorative manner. Two smaller points at top are formed in a similar manner, and the bottom gives the piece an overall resemblance to a shield. SS runes have been excised from the center of the plaque. Both front and back surfaces are covered in well-weathered black paint now showing some oxidation from the underlying iron. We believe that this sign was affixed at one time to the exterior of an informal, non-administrative SS building, perhaps a hospital, marriage office, etc. Overall very good.
