Pair of English Officer's Percussion Pistols, by Charles Maybury 1845
Fine pair Of Crimean War period English officer’s percussion pistols of musket bore circa 1845 By Charles Maybury. Both with 7 1/2" browned Damascus round barrels with top flat. Stirrup ramrods. Finely engraved breech tangs. (.65 caliber). Engraved bolted locks signed “C Maybury”. Steel trigger guards with acorn finials. Engraved steel Butt caps. Finely figured walnut full stocks with checkered grip are in good condition. Actions are crisp. Bores are good. A high quality pair of pistols for an English officer. Size 15" overall.
