British pattern 1831 sabre in the Mameluke style with original tassel and knot. The scabbard in all polished condition. Single edged blade with etched decoration all over detailing panels and crowns. Crossguard in bright gilt brass and central motif of a crossed cannon & sword. Etched to ricasso panel (Ranken & co., Calcutta) likely Indian army. Size 31/4" L, blade 30 3/4" L
