U.S. Marked M1855 Pistol-Carbine
US Model 1855 percussion Pistol-Carbine with a detachable shoulder stock made by Springfield Armory (US Marked). Lock mechanism with marked (1856) left of hammer, "American Eagle" pistol over hinged plate, and (U.S. SPRINGFIELD) to forward section. Barrel with (Eagle Head) & (VP) marks with (1855) just infront of the rear sight. Overall 18", 29" overall with carbine stock, .58 caliber
