Trick Dog - Rare Yellow Costumed Clown - Cast Iron Mechanical Bank
Made by the Hubley Mfg. Company. Lancaster, Pennsylvania - Circa 1925. Purchased from Donal Markey In this toy bank, the designers at Hubley have created a visually arresting memory from a trip to the circus. Early collectors referred to this bank as the "Modern Trick Dog" because it was little more than a decade old at the time. Today, it is nearly a century old. The yellow costumed clown is an extremely rare and desirable color variation. The present example is exceptional quality and may represent the finest in existence.
Condition: Near Mint Condition.
