RSL Auction Company is pleased to present this wonderfully diverse selection of Antique Toys and Banks. Included are 350 Still Banks, many from the collections of Gary Stubbs, Frank Kidd, and Alvin Goldstein. Gary Stubbs loved cast iron building banks and collected them with passion for twenty years. There are also about 40 lots of Wood, Lead, and Bronze Patterns for both Toys and Banks. There are 48 lots of cast iron doorstops, as well as 60 lots of German and American Tin Windup and Clockwork Toys. Lastly, there are 47 lots of Cast Iron (mostly horse-drawn) Toys and 120 lots of Tin, Wood, and Cast-Iron Mechanical Banks

A. K. A. Billy Possum. Made by J. M. Harper. Chicago, IL - 1908 - 4 3/4" Long. This is an extremely scarce and desirable bank. William Howard Taft, the 27th President, reputedly ate 7 possums at his Inaugeral Dinner in 1909. J. M. Harper, who produced several politcally themed banks, reportedly produced the "Billy" Possum in his honor.
Condition: Very Fine Condition.
