A Rare Pocket-Sized Tehillim, Amsterdam 1666
A very rare and early Tehillim measuring only 12cm! Printed in Amsterdam in 1666 by the famed printer Yosef Athias. Seforim printed by Athias are known particularly for their accuracy. One year later in 1667, he printed a Tanach which enjoyed high popularity due to its accuracy, and served as the basis for many subsequent editions that followed.
This edition is very rare. To the best of our knowledge, it has never been offered for sale at auction. Interestingly, this copy is complete with two identical title pages, with only one small difference. The year of printing is spelled out differently on each title page, with the first title page indicating that it was printed in 1667, and the second indicates it was printed in 1666.
