2 19th c. Chinese Zhejiang Carved Stone Brushpots
Set of two 19th century Chinese carved Qingtian or Zhejiang stone brushpots depicting dragon designs, Daoguang Period. Each is affixed to a wooden stand.
Provenance: The Collection of Captain Hall Jackson Tibbits, Long Island, New York; Pook & Pook, Pennsylvania, March 2014, Lot 592; Private Minnesota Collection.
(Smaller, with stand) height: 4 in x width: 3 1/4 in x depth: 1 1/2 in. (Larger, with stand) height: 4 1/4 in x width: 3 in x depth: 2 in.
Condition: There are several cracks throughout each. There is a small loss along the rim of the smaller carving; there is a repaired break along the front of the larger carving, approximately 1/2 in tall and a 1/4 in wide. Each brushpot is affixed to carved wooden stand. Some wear to the stands.
