Chinese Oil Painting of Figures with Bull 1968
Chinese mid-century oil on canvas painting depicting two figures in the foreground with two bulls in the background, 1968. Signed illegibly and dated along the lower right.
Sight; height: 18 1/2 in x width: 32 in. Framed; height: 24 in x width: 38 in x depth: 1 1/2 in.
Condition: The colors are bold and bright. The surface is stable. There are no visible tears, losses, or restorations. There are a few lines of craquelure throughout; particularly along the foremost bull's chest, the woman's forehead, and the man's chin. Light wear along the extreme edges where the canvas is housed under a linen mat. Light dust and wear throughout the frame. The work has not been inspected out of frame.
