Late Qing Chinese cinnabar lacquer seal box. The sides deeply carved with five-clawed dragons; the top carved with a flaming pearl; the base decorated with a diaper pattern.
Height: 3 in x width: 2 1/2 in x depth: 2 1/2 in.
Condition: The box is in good condition with no visible cracks, chips, or major losses. Light wear throughout, as expected. Dust collected to the surface, most noticeably to recessed areas. There are a few scattered areas that lost paint along the area where the lid and the box meet. There is an approx. 2 1/2 inch line of overspray along the aforementioned area. Along the underside of the aforementioned area, there is a small area with paint residue. Please contact us for a detailed condition report.
