Group of 10 Inuit Stone Carvings
Group of ten 20th-century Inuit carved stone sculptures depicting figures and animals by artists including: Lucassie Amm, Lucassie Kumarluk, Joe Pootoogook, and Adamie Ashevak. Several signed along the base.
Height ranges from 2 in to 9 1/2 in. Width ranges from 2 1/2 in to 11 in. Depth ranges from 1 in to 7 in.
Condition: The carvings are in good condition in general. All items have wear and cracks throughout; however, given that the carvings are stone, they do not affect the overall work. The female figure has a loss along the back, measuring 1/4 inch. The felt attached along the underside of the large head carving is not fully glued to the underside - half is detached. Wear to the underside, consistent with age and use. Some carvings have adhesive residue to the underside. No sign of restoration under UV light. Please contact us for a detailed condition report. Please note that the lack of a condition statement does not imply perfect condition. Email condition@revereauctions.com with any condition questions.
