Redware Brown Glazed Pottery Vessel
Redware stoneware pottery ceramic pitcher or jar with a glossy brown glaze. With an ovoid body, slightly flared rim, small foot, and handle. The body with two incised rings around the body.
Height: 6 in x diameter: 5 in.
Condition: The jar is in good condition in general with no major chips, cracks, or losses. There is wear throughout the piece, most noticeably on the rim. There is crazing beginning to form along the rim, which extends downwards toward the handle. Along the underside of the jar, there is an approx. 1/4 inch long chip to the underside.
