Redware Glazed Ceramic Pottery Pitcher
Redware glazed ceramic pitcher with an ovoid body, flared rim, and handle.
Height: 6 1/2 in x diameter: 5 1/2 in.
Condition: The pitcher is in generally good condition. There is crazing to the glaze throughout. There are minute firing flaws throughout. There are major chips along the rim; glazing peeled off and shows the underlying stoneware. Along the interior of the piece, there is discoloration towards the neck; dust collected as expected. There is one 1/4 inch long crack towards the bottom. Consistent with its age and use, wear to the underside. No sign of restoration under UV inspection.
