Michaela Groeblacher, untitled sunflower, mixed media, signed in lower right, good condition, image size: 14 x 6.5 inches. Born and raised in Austria/Europe, emigrated to America with her family in 1989. Settling in the Pacific Northwest, she was a landscape designer in Seattle, Wash., until moving to Kansas. It was in Kansas that she started ceramics and painting in earnest.Groeblacher graduated from McPherson College, McPherson, Kansas with a BA in studio arts, concentrating in ceramics and painting and a MFA from Fort Hays State University, Hays, Kansas. She is currently Associate Professor of Art at McPherson College. Her work has been shown in numerous galleries and museums throughout the USA in group and solo, and juried exhibitions.
