הגאון הנודע רבי יצחק איצק גריסהבר-פריינד [תק"א-תקפ"ג] אב"ד פאקש ובעל ה'מקל נועם'. מגדולי גאוני דורו, תלמיד ה'נודע ביהודה' בפראג. החליף שאלות ותשובות עם רבו ה'נודע ביהודה' וידידו ה'חת"ם סופר' המכנהו באחד ממכתביו "הגאון המופלא מו"ב איצק נ"י אב"ד פאקש". במכתב נוסף שכתב ה'חתם סופר' אל בנו הגאון רבי משה פאקש נכתב: "ומה שביקש ממני תלמידי מו"ה פתחיה להיות לו לפה ולמליץ יושר אצל הה"ג דק"ק פאקש [רבי יצחק גריסהאבר], להעמידהו על כור המבחן…". בהסכמה לספרו 'מקל נועם' מכנה אותו המהר"ם בנט: "הרב המאה"ג [המאור הגדול] הותיק מו"ה יצחק נר"ו אב"ד פאקש והגליל". התפרסם גם בשל הפולמוס שערך נגד אהרון חורין בנוגע לכשרות הדג 'שטירל'.
