Kehillos Yaakov Commentary on tractate zevachim - handwritten by the author, Rabbi Yaakov Yisrael Kanievsky - the Steipler
Rabbi Yaakov Yisrael Kanievsky (1899 - 1985), known as the Steipler, was a leading Torah figure of the past generation. Writing his novellae was a holy task which the Steipler held in great importance. Before writing his novellae, he would immerse in the mikvah, and used a special pen to write these Torah thoughts. He invested tremendous effortsin explaining with precise wording to ensure clarity. In these writings as well, it is evident that he exuded much effort into editing his work.
