Rabbi Eliezer Zussman Sofer (1828-1902), son of Rabbi Fishel Sofer of Pressburg, student of the Chasam Sofer and Ksav Sofer as well as of the Maharam Schick. Son-in-law of Rabbi Yoel Sofer of Paks, where Rabbi Eliezer Zussman served as Dayan, Maggid and Rosh Yeshiva. Rabbi of Halas (1857) and successor to his father-in-law in Paks (1886). Active rabbinical leader of Hungarian orthodox Jewry. Author of famous works: Yalkut Eliezer, Hamakneh, Eit Sofer.
