Classic Talmudic novella authored by R. Shimon Shkop of Grodno. Primarily dealing with complex Talmudic directives, the sefer was enthusiastically received and remains a fundamental work in the Lithuanian school of Yeshivos.
R. Shimon Shkop (1860-1940) studied in the great Yeshivas of Mir and Volozhin. In 1884 he was appointed as a Magid Shiur in Telz where he remained until 1903 when he succeeded his father as Rav of Moltash. In 1920 he became Rosh yeshiva in Grodno where his shiurim attracted hundreds and under his leadership, Yeshivas Grodno became world famous as a bastion of Torah.
