Rabbi Yitzchak Issac Weiss (1875-1944) was the son of the founder of the Spinka dynasty, R. Yosef Meir Weiss (1838-1909), whom he succeeded as Rebbe. In addition to being a renowned Chassidic leader, he led a great Yeshiva and was one of the most influential Hungarian Rebbes in the period between the two World Wars. Tragically martyred during the holocaust, his works were published posthumously under the title Chakal Yitzchak, and are considered classics of Chasidic thought.

Rabbi Moshe Dovid Ostreicher (1883-1954), was a talmid of R. Tzvi Hirsch of Munkacs (Darkei Teshuva), R. Yehuda Greenfeld and R. Yehuda Grunewald. Known as a tremendous Talmid Chochom and great Posek, he served as Rov in Tchimpa and later Arad. Miraculously surviving the Holocaust, after the war he was greatly involved in helping Agunos after the war. He later immigrated to New York, settling in Williamsburg where he was held in great esteem.
