Long blessing letter from R' Yisroel Alter, the Bais Yisroel of Ger, 1967.
Letter written during Aseres Yemei Teshuva wishing blessings for the New Year and for Refuah Sheleima.
Rabbi Yisrael Alter, the Rebbe of Gur (1895-1977), son of Rabbi Avraham Mordechai Alter, the Imrei Emes of Gur and son-in-law of his uncle Rabbi Yaakov Meir Biederman. Escaped to Eretz Yisrael together with his father during WWII, but lost his family in Poland. Succeeded his father in 1948 as Rebbe of Gur Rebuilding the Gur chassidic movement and attracting many form other chassidic courts and communities with the magnet of his personality and his greatness. Author of Beis Yisrael.
