Portuguese silver toothpick holder, 19th century. Figure of a reaper in perfect shape, holding a sickle and a bunch of spikes, sitting on a base simulating land with spikes. With Porto mark (P44.0c or variant), in use from 1861 to 1870, and ABR maker’s mark (P-79.0), attributable to José Anastácio Pereira de Abreu. Defects and signs of use. Weight approx.: 212 g.; Height approx.: 16 cm.
