Novel written by Jules Verne in 1875, about the last voyage of a British sailing ship "Chancellor", narrated from the point of view of one of his passengers (in the form of a diary). The plot was inspired, according to Vern, by a painting by a romantic painter Théodore Géricault "The Raft of the Medusa“.
Rare collector's edition in very good condition. There are remnants of a paper inventory sticker on the backbone, foxing on the pages.
