Sefer Shi'urei Torah, "ענינו לבאר שיעורי התורה במשקל הדרהמים והגרמים ובמדת הסנטימטר הנהוג בזמננו הלכה למעשה". The basic and revolutionary work by the great Gaon Rabbi Chaim Na'eh, who was known as Baal Hashi'urim after it. On verso of the title page, a monument to the author's son who was murdered during the riots of 1940 when he was only 9.
First edition at the press of the Diskin Orphanage, Jerusalem 1943. [8], 96 pp. Wide margins. Moth perforations and damage. Stains. A detached sheet. Blemishes to spine. Beyond this, good overall condition.
On the flyleaf, a lengthy dedication handwritten and signed by Rabbeinu the author: "דורן דרשה לב"ג האברך היקר באדם, הוו"ח מופ' וירא ה', מוכתר במדות ובמעלות... יעקב שמעון נ"י לחתונתו... ז' אלול תש"ג. ויחד עם מתנתי "שיעורי תורה" אני מאחל לו עושר ונחת "בלי שיעור" ויהי' מאושר עב"ג בב"א מאת דודו מוקירו ומכבדו ואוהבו נצח. אברהם חיים נאה".
