Copy of Rabbi Meir Barabi with His Glosses - Basic Book: Olat Tammid/Olat Shabbat First Edition—Amsterdam 1681
Sefer Olat Tamidd on Orach Chaim with the second section Olat Shabbat, by the Dayan Rabbi Shmuel ben Rabbi Yosef of Krakow. First edition - Amsterdam, 1681. [2], 59, [1], 10, [6], 65-114, 50 leaves. Stefanski Sifrei Yesod Hosafot p. 63. In the National Library, the book appears in the Rare Book Collection.
The book was accepted by the entire Diaspora and received many and important approbations by Gefolei Hador: the rabbis of the Council of Four Lands - Rabbi Yitzchak of Posnan, Rabbi Zvi Hirsch of Lvov, Rabbi Yisrael of Lodmar, Rabbi Naftali Hirsch of Lublin. And by Rabbi David of Lida-Amsterdam-Worms, Rabbi Hillel Hertz Ashkenazi Av Beit Din of Hamburg, Rabbi Yitzchak Abohav of Amsterdam and Rabbi Yaakov Sassportas of Amsterdam.
Ancient binding; the front board is missing. Partly detached spine. Stains and blemishes. Good overall condition.
On leaf 41, a notation: "מאיר מה"ש שליט"א" indicating that this copy was studied by the Gaon Rabbi Meir Barabi Av Beit Din of Pressburg, author of the Maharam Barabi books. Throughout the book, corrections and some glosses on the margins of the leaves handwritten by him. The glosses are partly erased.
Appearing on the title page are additional ancient signatures: "לה' הארץ ומלואה הק' טבלי בלא"א אברהם לנדא סג"ל". "לה' הארץ ומלואה הירץ בלא"א הדיין מו"ה אנש... לנדא...".
