This is the first edition of the foundational work that has not left the tables of the great Jewish sages since its publication. The Admor HaZaken’s words on the title page of the Tanya, “collected from the sefarim” are interpreted as meaning the Maharal and Shelah, "and from the mouths of the sofrim" - they are the Maggid from Mezritz and Ramm from Vitebsk.
Partial copy: [2], 262 leaves, including the title page. Missing leaves from 262 until the end. The title page and last leaf are repaired, moth damage throughout the book, fair condition, new binding.
