Rare Large Roman Glass Vessel
Couple of quite lesser examples on-line at some thousands. This rare type, a free blown, large, shaped bowl of slightly yellowish/greenish tone, with an untouched burial surface, has twenty extraordinary vertical openwork applied rim ribs. never apart, a few tight crack lines as shown. An early Roman type, probably from Italy. Exceptional size and in untouched excavated condition. 4" H. x 4.5"W
