Strong and Early Ibieri Wood Figure
Carved wood Ibieri wood figure. Fang group -Gabon. Original metalized 12 bronze bell necklace; 27in.H. x 7in.W.
Condition: Part 1 of several sales to offer contents of Clinton Mass “The Gallery of African Art†, the now closed museum founded by Gordon Lankton. Being sold without reserves in several sessions over the next few months. More than 700 lots from 32 West African tribes will be included.
