First edition. The fundamental books of the Maggid of Slonim on Taharot, Mei Naftu'ach and Mayim Tehorim in a single volume - Bialystok, 1816, 1817.
By the holy Gaon Rabbi Yehuda Leib Edel, the Maggid of Slonim.
Like his other books, this book too is edited in perfect order with a special title for each of its sections.
The first book, Mei Naftu'ach, is a commentary on the Rambam's foreword to Seder Taharot.
The second book, Mayim Tehorim, on Mishnayot Taharot, has two sections: Nahara Ufshitei and Charifuta Denahara.
The Gaon Rabbi Yehuda Leib Edel (1757-1828) the Maggid of Slonim was known for his inflammatory sermons, describing the Beis Din shel Malah in such a manner that "his listeners felt as if they were now being judged by Heaven" (Rabbi Shalom Schwadron). His vast knowledge in Aggadic literature and Midrashim and his silver tongue made him one of the greatest Darshanim of his generation.
