A Pennsylvania Ink and Watercolor Fraktur: Geburts und Taufschein (Birth and Baptismal Certificate), Dated 1825. For a son born in Colebrookdale Township, Berks County. In a 19th century figured cherry frame with beaded edge.
Dimensions: Sight 11 1/2 x 15 3/4in; Frame 19 1/2 x 15 1/2in.
Provenance: Property from the Collection of C. Thomas Attix Jr., East Windsor, New Jersey.
Condition:
Framed and glazed. Not examined out of the frame. Heavy fading and toning overall. There is a significant vertical tear through the center and a horizontal crease through the middle. Assumed edge and losses to edges and corners. The frame in an old dry surface; with general marks, wear, abrasions, scuffs, nicks and surface scratches.
