A German Gilt Bronze Mounted Figured Walnut Bracket Clock, Retailed by Schultis Schwar & Co., London & Pretoria, Second Half 19th Century. The arched brass dial with silvered chapter ring, having Roman numerals and Arabic minutes, with subsidiary slow/fast dial to the lunette, having an applied brass plaque to the matte center inscribed 'SCHULTIS SCHWAR & Co. / LONDON & PRETORIA / MADE IN LENZKIRCH', all within cast spandrels, the twin train movement striking on two gongs, the backplate stamped 'LENZKIRCH' and numbered '418932'.

Dimensions: Height 14 1/2in; width 10 1/2in; depth 7 1/4in.

Condition:

Wear and toning to the gilding on bronze mounts. Lacking two small bronze mounts. A small piece of stepped molding is missing to the upper right of case. General marks, wear, abrasions and surface scratches. The dial with heavy wear to the silvering of chapter ring, especially around winding holes. With pendulum, case key and winding crank. The pendulum is lacking a suspension spring. We cannot guarantee the completeness and functionality of the clock's movement.
