Regency Mahogany 'Beau Brummell' Gentleman's Dressing Stand
A Regency Mahogany 'Beau Brummell' Gentleman's Wash Stand, First Quarter 19th Century. The hinged top opens to reveal an adjustable mirror and five open apertures and small recess over a cupboard and two drawers, raised on four reeded legs, terminating in large brass casters.
Dimensions: Height closed 35 1/2in; width closed 18 1/4in; depth 23 3/4in; height open 51 1/2in; width open 36 1/2in.
Condition:
Structurally sound. General fading, marks, wear, and surface scratches. Scattered old repairs and reinforcements, and patched slivers of mahogany to correct shrinkage. Repairs to veneers. The two back legs with old braces and repairs, otherwise good usable condition.
