Rene Lalique (French, 1860-1945) Original Cast Metal Architectural Element, Hair Comb
Beautiful detailed composition in this cast metal relief sculpture with brown patina designed by Art Nouveau and Art Deco master craftsman Rene Lalique. The design for a hair comb represents three beautiful female faces whose entwined locks of hair wrap around the comb. The comb is raised from the surface with a protruding rectangle that serves as a base. This exceptionally crafted quality piece was acquired directly from the private collection of the descendants of Rene Lalique.
