2pc Dale Chihuly (American, b. 1941), Macchia Art Glass Bowls
Splendid hand blown glass bowls from the Macchia Studio Edition of "Seaforms" from the Portland Press. Dale Chihuly is inspired by the organic forms of the sea and ever changing colors visible in the translucent purple of the outer layers speckled with opaque white, yellow, greens, orange, and blues that enliven the surface. The interior orange forms end with a teal lip wrap that curves and folds. Incised signature and number on small bowl: Chihuly, PP09. Dimensions: Large bowl: 12"L x 9"W x 5.50"H; Small bowl: 8"L x 6"W x 4"H.
