Pan on Rock HN621, Extremely Rare - Royal Doulton Figurine
This is a one of a kind 'Pan on Rock' figurine that's been decorated in a beautiful rich red flambe glaze. No other exist in this flambe variation. Impressed 218 to bottom base.
This figure of the satyr Pan, the god of flocks and shepherds and the personification of nature, may have been based on a similar model produced by Charles Vyse in 1924. Cream colored version of this figurine is listed as very rare and this Flambe version is the only one known to exist.
