R. Isser Zalman Meltzer/ R. Yitzchok Isaac Herzog/R. Reuven Trop/. The Rescue of the Daughter of R. Naftali Trop! Tel Aviv/ Yerusholayim 1943. Holocaust!
Heartrending autograph letter by R. Reuven Trop to R. Yom Tov Lipmann Gurwitz of Melbourne, Australia, regarding the plight of his sister, the wife of R. Baruch Yosef Feivelson, who was exiled to Siberia together with her 3 children. He writes that she and her children have no food or religious education and asks that R. Gurwitz do all he can with the Australian consulate to get them permits to be able to emigrate. R. Trop concludes the letter by writing that R. Gurwitz will be blessed with the merit of his great father R. Naftali who taught Torah in the Radin Yeshiva for over 25 years.
Following his letter are additional autograph supporting paragraphs by R. Yitzchok Isaac HaLevi Herzog and R. Isser Zalman Meltzer.
Lot includes telegraph sent by R. Gurwitz to R. Herzog stating that he will not be able to get the aforementioned visas unless Palestinian visas are granted prior.
