Hebrew Manuscript. Written in an Aschkenazi hand with Nikud on vellum. Not examined out of frame. Lot accompanied by associated documentation.

18th/19th-century.


Provenance:
From the collection of the Israeli archeologist and gallerist, Elyada Merioz (1932–2004). Immediately following the end of the Six Day War, June 1967, Elyada Merioz worked on salvaging the remains of synagogues in the Old City of Jerusalem that had been destroyed by the Jordanians the during the years of occupation after 1948.
This Haphtorah fragment was found in the ruins of the Churva Synagogue, Old City Jerusalem.
